Claude Code Plugins
A Claude Code plugin is a bundle. It can hold skills, commands, agents, and MCP config in one package.
Plugins vs skills
A skill is a single folder with a SKILL.md file. A plugin wraps one or more of them, plus other parts, so you can add everything in one step. If you only need one playbook, a skill is simpler. If you want a full set of tools, a plugin is the better fit.
Where to find plugins
Anthropic publishes plugins in github.com/anthropics/claude-plugins-official. Plugin bundles use a marketplace.json file to list what they hold. Read the Claude Code docs for the current install steps, because the commands can change.
